3 - HD 3870: Anatomy

The HIS 3870 is a card of about 228 mm long from the backplane to the end for a weight of 660 grammes. This 3870 of HIS is a graphics card equiped with an active cooler with the recognizable style of ATI. At the first boot of the PC, the cooler noise is terrifying but gets quickly acceptable.

The 3870 is shipped with a single PCI-Express power connector and has two Crossfire connectors in the pcb. Each card is shipped with one Crossfire bridge and you'll have to connect both bridges to activate the Crossfire.

The HIS 3870 is a dual-slot card and offers two DVI connectors and one S-Video connector.
