-:: Lumen Digital won the World Summit Award using Demoniak3D ::-

"We required an engine with a robust and well documented scripting language, that also allowed access to programable shaders, and was not built from the ground up with a particular use in mind."

"...we knew we had found something unique."

"We would encourage other developers to adopt Demoniak3D..."

3 - Lumen + Demoniak3D = The World Summit Award!

The World Summit Award (WSA) is a global initiative to select and promote the world’s best e-Content, started in 2003 in the framework of the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). This is done through national contests, a global contest, held every 2 years, and numerous content-focused national and international conferences and workshops – the WSA Road Show.

WSA is an invitation project and a global hub for everyone, who sees the crucial importance of excellent e-Content creation within the new Information Society. As of today, 168 countries are actively involved in WSA. New partners from all over the world are always welcome to join this global initiative!

Think Maori is a large, introductory gallery to the Te Puia experience.

An interactive digital gallery and exhibits created for Rotorua’s Te Puia experience has been named as one of the best ICT cultural projects in the world. Lumen Digital Studio won the prize in the cultural section of the World Summit Awards for excellence in e-content and creativity. The award will be presented at the WSA winners’ conference in Venice, on November 5.

WSA identifies and promotes e-content products in collaboration with the United Nations secretary general’s global alliance for ICT and development, UNESCO and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). Just 40 winners were chosen this year, from 24,000 projects from 160 countries. They were selected by a 32-member grand jury.

Lumen Co-founder and director Chris Hay says the Te Puia galleries represent the knowledge and values of the Te Arawa people in the Whakarewarewa region. The interpretation and the interactivities of Te Puia were developed in 2006, with the aid of 3D Creative Design and Management.
