{"id":68,"date":"2006-06-23T08:09:29","date_gmt":"2006-06-23T07:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ozone3d.net\/blogs\/lab\/?p=68"},"modified":"2006-06-23T08:09:29","modified_gmt":"2006-06-23T07:09:29","slug":"compilation-of-ogre3d-v121","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ozone3d.net\/blogs\/lab\/20060623\/compilation-of-ogre3d-v121\/","title":{"rendered":"Compilation of Ogre3D v1.2.1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just for fun (and for benchmarking too), I&#8217;ve done a compilation of the latest Ogre3D engine (v1.2.1).<\/p>\n<p>For the sake of the test I used vc2005 and the two following files available on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ogre3d.org\">www.ogre3d.org<\/a>:<br \/>\n&#8211; OGRE 1.2.1 Source for Windows<br \/>\n&#8211; Dependencies 1.2.0 for Visual C++ 2005(8.0)<\/p>\n<p>Unpack both archives and put the content of Dependencies archive into ogre folder. Now you&#8217;re ready to load the ogre_vc8.sln solution. Once done, you have to enable the compiler timer with:<br \/>\n[i]Tools->Options->Projects->VC++ Build and setting Build Timing to Yes[\/i]. <\/p>\n<p>Okay, everything is ready for the compilation of the OgreMain project.<\/p>\n<p>With my workstation (p4 3.6GHz, 2Go DDR2 533, hdd WD 200Go SATA1), the compilation and linking took: <b>Build Time 12:04<\/b> (read 12 min 04 sec!) :raspberry:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just for fun (and for benchmarking too), I&#8217;ve done a compilation of the latest Ogre3D engine (v1.2.1).
