GPU Tools - Benchmarking / furmark 1.15.1 won't use both GPUs in SLI
« Last post by ssateneth on April 08, 2015, 12:38:57 AM »
Furmark 1.15.1 won't use both my GPU's. Only GPU 2 is stressed and heats up. GPU 1 won't even budge. SLI is enabled in the Nvidia control panel > 3d settings > configure sli, surround, physx. SLI indicator is enabled from the 3d settings dropdown at the top of the control panel. i've tried using forced alternate rendering 1 and 2. I've tried renaming the furmark.exe to etqw.exe and SeriousSam.exe. I tried setting physx processing to CPU only instead of on a GPU. I tried running furmark as admin. I've tried running in full screen as well as windowed. Nothing works. I don't know what to do.

SLI works in OCCT just fine in windowed and full screen mode. Both GPUs are stressed and heat up evenly (they have a furry donut in their 3d testing tab. seems to use more power than furmark).

Intel Core i7-5960x @ 4.75GHz
32GB DDR4-3000 RAM
ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME motherboard
2x NVidia GTX 980 in SLI
Seasonic X-1250 1250 watt 80PLUS GOLD power supply
Chilled liquid cooling
Windows 8.1 pro, fully patched.
Nvidia driver 347.88.

Heres a log file and some pictures of the problem.

I also meet the error message and cannot normally run "CL CPU-1M Particles"demo. The system will be stopping working the GPU Caps viewers. Is this tool not supported Intel GFX? How could I get any log file for debugging?

GPU Tools - Benchmarking / Re: FurMark 1.15.1 Crashes my PC

I may have answered my own question.

I am running a 700W power supply - Thermaltake TR2 700W. This a possibly my problem. This is a mid range budget type PS that runs about $80 (Canadian). I may have to fall off my wallet and buy a better power supply and see if the problem goes away.

GPU Tools - Benchmarking / FurMark 1.15.1 Crashes my PC
« Last post by kellyjo on December 12, 2014, 03:35:32 AM »
I downloaded and installed FurMark 1.15.0 09DEC2014, installed and ran it. It ran for a few seconds then my screen went black and my computer rebooted. When the reboot started my boot drive had disappeared.

The only way to get my drive back was to shut off the power supply, wait, turn the power back on and hit the power button.

I tried the latest 1.15.1 just a few minutes ago and the same thing happened.

My system: MB M5A99FX PRO Rev 2 (2501 bios), Boot Drive 2 250G Velociraptors Raid 0, CPU FX8350 @4.5G, GPU 2X Gigabyte GV-R928XOC-3GD Crossfire.

I had this problem with CCC13.9 and the new OMEGA drivers.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

We have gone through your Alteros 3D application which renders .3ds files of 3D Max software. Our requirement is to give presentations on Human Body Anatomy. Our developers are working on 3D Max modules of human body parts, organs, blood vessel, etc.
Our motive is to:
-          Pan, Zoom, Rotate human model

-          Show or hide human body layers (Skins, Bones, Organs, Blood vessels, etc.) which we have constructed in 3D Max on the go

-          Dissect body part and Organs to show the diagonals views

So we need customized application having the above features. If you agree to provide us the solutions feel free to contact on email:ajeetvictor@gmail.com and phone: +919839448086. Also quote your effort in terms of time and money.

GPU Tools - Benchmarking / minimum requirements for running FurMark?
« Last post by CLJ on November 20, 2014, 12:41:49 PM »
Any one knows the minimum requirements for running FurMark?

In cases where "CL CPU-1M Particles" passes,
clEnqueueNDRangeKernel is called with, global_work_size = < 1000000 >, local_work_size = < 16 >

The failing case: the call is then changed to
clEnqueueNDRangeKernel : global_work_size = < 1000192 >, local_work_size = < 256 >, Otherwise the OCL calls are identical

Debugging of calls to RT functions clCreateBuffer, clSetKernelArg, and clEnqueueNDRange confirmed that this is Gpu_Caps_Viewer's bug. The application creates buffers of 1000000 elements in size while kernel is running on NDRange of size 1000192 and using unmodified global id to access elements those buffers.

GPU Tools - Benchmarking / Power is 1
« Last post by juanrra242 on October 23, 2014, 01:12:05 AM »
Hi!

I have a problem that is "burning" me .

I´m not going to bore all of you with my pc specs ,just know that i have a new gigabyte nvidia gf 660 2gb  and a power suppply that gives 21A on the +12v rail.

The problem is that when i am playing certain games (shadows of mordor) ,the computer restarts randomly.
I googled and i found this wonder called Furmark ,i run a intensive test (burn) with all setttings maximun ,and it doesnt restart the pc , but the  indicator "power" while doing the test is set to 1 .

In the upper part of the screen ,when doing the test , the power label shows 1 at  the limits field in the GPU1 line , and GPU power is between 105%  and 106% .

Are those indicators telling me that I need a more powerfull  PSU ?

Thanks in advance.
