Don't make me get another HD 3850 for crossfire and dethrone you.  I'll do it, I swear    :D  .  These new ATI budget cards are monsters for shaders and vertex performance -- running hand in hand with 8800GTS 320MB in games.   Simply  stunning for the price.  I'm about to upload some results here on my recently acquired HD3850, get ready to be surprised at the "mid-range" beast.
Sapphire Pure Crossfire Advantage • Athlon X2 3800+ @2750
Gigabyte 8800GT 256mb  • 2X512mb Kingmax DDR 500/ 2X256mb Samsung  • Ultra 500W x-connect  • 2X Hitachi 80GB Sata RAID0 • WD 250GB + Maxtor 120Gb • Soundblaster Audigy ES • Dual 120mm standard
