After reviewing some of the other scores, (some in the tens of thousands) I noticed that these people set their resoulutions to about 250 x 250.. naturally, you score will be off-the-wall if one sets such a ridiculous resolution.

Which leads me into my topic of discussion, which is the obvious fact that FurMark final Score considers no other factors when computing benchmark score, such as if the user set more graphically-demanding settings, such as fullscreen mode, 8, 16, or even 32xAA, higher resolutions, etc etc...  I ran one bench using 1920x1200, 0xAA, and scored around 5000, then I ran another with 32xAA, and recieved a 3000 (approx) score...  Shouldn't these variables be taken into consideration when generating a final score report, especially whem comparing them to other systems???  Otherwise, make every test standardized, and dont allow us to change any settings, so everyone takes the same test, that way we're comparing apples-to-apples.

Perhaps make a "Variable" benchmark listing for those who'd like to see benchmarks with a variaety with settings..

Unless I'm missing something here, if I am, please excuse, Im reasonaly new to this program... just dled it the other day.

yes you're absolutely right, scoring raking currently sucks. That's why from FurMark 1.8.0, I only displayed the recent submissions without ranking. Currently, you can submit a score for each resolution (even customized ones), in fullscreen or windowed mode, with or without AA and even with a customized duration. Too many variables! I will restrict benchmarking submissions in FurMark 1.9.0: only fullscreen mode will be valid, with 0X MSAA or 8X MSAA and for few standard resolutions such as 1280x1024, 1680x1050, 1920x1080 and 1920x1200. The duration will be 60sec. No Post FX or windowed mode allowed.

Feedbacks and ideas are welcome...
