Furmark crash stability test
« on: August 24, 2009, 12:03:41 PM »
Hi all! My first post here :)

Hope you can give me some guidance regarding my graphics card GTX 295. I have some problems with it I think. When I first noticed it was when I runned 3d Mark Vantage, and the program crashed in the 2nd GPU test.
I got the message "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered - nvlddmkm nVidia Driver". I couldn't get past that 2nd test without getting that message. Tried several firmwares (deleted the old ones with driver sweeper),
without succes. Tested my RAM with memtest, no errors. First when I did a clean reinstall of Vista 64-bit I could run 3d Mark Vantage all the way.

Now to my question about Furmark. I did the stability test/Extreme burning, MSAA 4x, Fullscreen 1280x1024. When the test reach about 150 seconds
I can see for 1-2 seconds a small flicker with lines, then it disappears. At 300 seconds in the test my screen start to flicker for some seconds, then Furmark crashes and I'm stuck with 1280x1024 resolution and the computer freezes, must reset it with the powerbutton. Don't know if it's instability
of Furmark or my graphics card. What do you guys think?

With kind regards
