my GTX260 maxcore reads 192
« on: November 23, 2008, 02:50:12 PM »
My BFG GTX260 clearly labeled maxcore has 192 unified shader processors according to Caps Viewer 1.6.2

Should this not read 216 ?

Or have I been duped?

There are "old" GTX260 with 192 and new GTX260 with 216 shaders.

Double-check with GPU-Z.

My videocard and the box it came in are also clearly labeled maxcore, meaning 216

But then again, maybe Caps Viewer is wrong
because it is reporting 4G physical ram for my installed 6G
????

Yup
GPU-Z says 216
so its the Caps Viewer that is wrong then?

Well, i don't know how JegX counts the shaders, but you could submit a report from both GPU-Z and CapsViewer and provide the hyperlinks for comparison.

Do other 32-bit applications report physical RAM correctly, e.g. PCWizard or CPU-Z?

Yes for GTX 260 MaxCore, shader processors count is wrong. Will fix this later.
