[DEMO] Old Building
« on: January 26, 2008, 05:14:56 PM »
A new Demoniak3D demo is available. This demo shows a building made by Steph3D. The 3D model has many textures (DXT1-compressed and uncompressed) then a graphics card with at least 256Mb of graphics memory is recommanded.

I've been following this since it first started on the MOI forum as a plain model without textures. The textured version is perfect. It reminds me of a building that I grew up in.

How many polys are in the scene?

The demo runs fine on my 7300GT.  No problems except for the front door, which has one or two polygons that are textureless and/or flipped. And in windowed mode, the top and bottom text is cut off a little, and the copyright can't be seen.

There are about 113000 polys in the scene. Thanks for the feedback with your 7300GT.

Yes there is a z-fighting problem with the red door,. I should see that with Steph3D but we have a serious lack of time and I'm afraid the demo will not be updated.

The windowed version require a big screen (1920x1200 for instance) to fully see the 1280x1024 rendering area and title and menu bars.
