Hi,
I noticed if I run HDR + DoF and  I start Fur Rendering the HDR thread stops moving. Frames keep counting. All the other demos continue to run.

Great stress program.

Thanks
Dennis

Thank you for this very helpful tool
Recently i noticed misc. programs crashing or showing borked gfx.
It appears that ATI made major changes between CAT 7.11 and 7.12

Code: [Select]
new:
GL_AMD_performance_monitor
GL_ATI_meminfo
GL_EXT_copy_texture
GL_EXT_gpu_program_parameters
GL_EXT_packed_depth_stencil
GL_EXT_subtexture
GL_EXT_texture_sRGB
GL_KTX_buffer_region
WGL_ARB_buffer_region
WGL_EXT_framebuffer_sRGB

nuked:
GL_ARB_fragment_program_shadow
GL_ARB_vertex_blend
GL_ATI_element_array
GL_ATI_map_object_buffer
GL_ATI_shader_texture_lod
GL_ATI_texture_mirror_once
GL_ATI_vertex_array_object
GL_ATI_vertex_attrib_array_object
GL_ATI_vertex_streams
GL_ATIX_texture_env_combine3
GL_ATIX_texture_env_route
GL_ATIX_vertex_shader_output_point_size
GL_EXT_clip_volume_hint
GL_EXT_vertex_shader
GL_HP_occlusion_test
GL_EXT_vertex_shader
GL_NV_occlusion_query
GL_S3_s3tc
GL_SGI_color_matrix
GL_SGIS_multitexture
GL_SGIS_texture_border_clamp
GL_SUN_multi_draw_arrays

Note:
if you find a borked OpenGL program, you can copy version 7.11 of atioglxx.dll into application folder to fix problem.

Using white text in the HDR Demo might not be a good idea :

Another color , maybe ? Or a black square below the white text ?

Hello All!
I'm flo from WorldPCSpecs.com!  :kimouss:
First of all, congratulation JeGX for your new web site

So, It seems there is a problem with my mobile graphic card.
When I run GPUCapsViewer, there are some problem with hardware detection :

I'm currently making a tool for general hardware detection. I decided to pass through DirectX for the GPU detection and I have quite the same problem. DirectX says that my GPU supports only PS 1.1 ans VS 0  :eeek: . However it's not true ( :doc: PS and VS 2.0 for my Radeon 9700 Mobility  )
How GPUCapsViewer make the hardware detection? :transpi: maybe it can help me. Thanks!

Hi
I just wanted to test my Video Card (Data: See picture) and got this from the VTF Demo: a colored, plain square. I don't think it is supposed to look like that, so... what's wrong?
Thx for help

I guess the problem comes from your graphics drivers: forceware 93.71 which are rather old. I don't remember exactly but I know some forceware (maybe yours) have a bug with vertex texture fetching. Try to update with the forceware 175.16 WHQL.
Let me know.

I noticed a little typo: "Devive ID"

GPU detection fails using Vista64
Is that the part you disabled according to change log?

Hi
I'm sorry for the delay, I was on holiday three weeks.
I just got my new HDD, created a new XP installation, got the 175.16 Forceware and now everything's fine!
I don't know details what exactly caused the flat square, but as a lot more things (like most of the PC Games and some Forceware installations) weren't working as well, I think my installation and driver systems were all screwed up.
Thanks again for your support!

Put a copy of atioglxx.dll from CAT7.11 into the same folder as GpuCapsViewer.exe and try again.
Didn't look at that on my old PC with ATI card, which now is broken down, so i can't try myself :(
